Age Suitability and Meal Ranges (Simple vs Core)Updated 2 months ago

All our meals can be offered to children from 9 months if you as a parent feel they are ready - every baby's weaning journey is different so the ages given are just a guide!

If you find your little one is not quite ready for a more textured meal, we would definitely recommend blending them a little for a more purée like consistency.

Simple Range

Our simple range of meals are 150g and have been specifically designed for toddlers going through a fussy eating stage, or babies from 9+ months who need an extra step to move on from purées.

Core Range

Our core range of meals are 200g and developed with children between 1 and 5 years old in mind, introducing more complex textures and flavours.

Snacks

Our snacks are mostly intended for 9+ months, but some for older children due to their nutritional content (more information here).

Currently, some of our snacks come in a 100g pot, whilst our new range of snacks are available in a larger 200g pouch.

We recognise that there are growth and developmental differences between infants under 12 months, and those over 12 months. Babies have very high nutritional requirements, and as these start to slow considerably from 18-24 months, it means that our 200g portion size can be suitable for both a one-year-old and also a five-year-old - this is approved by our Children's Dietitian, Lucy Upton. We’ve even been known to tuck into them for lunch ourselves (trust us, they taste that good).

However, this can vary based on your little one's appetite - you know your tot better than anyone, so you might find that for those with larger appetites, you may benefit from adding an additional side or portion of veg with the meal. For some inspiration, Lucy Upton shares a range of nutritious and tasty serving suggestions here
