How do I cook the meals and snacks?Updated 18 days ago

All our meals and snacks are designed to be stored and heated from frozen, therefore we will always recommend the ‘from frozen’ instruction as this will give the best results. Heating instructions can be found on the packaging, and also on the product information section when in the 'Build your Box' page.

We advise using particular appliances, i.e. microwave or oven, depending on the meal, as this can affect the quality and cook process. However, these are guidelines only, and the most important thing is that the internal temperature of the food reaches 70°C for 2 minutes, regardless of the meal or cook method. Always allow to cool sufficiently before serving to your child.

Our snacks make for great picnic and lunchbox fillers, however, we do recommend cooking all our snacks as an extra precaution rather than defrosting and eating chilled. All our snacks are fully cooked prior to freezing so the risk of illness from eating without heating is incredibly low, however young children are at a higher risk of illness caused by improper defrosting/storage so we prefer to err on the side of caution.

We would always be cautious with how long they are kept out of the fridge on warmer days, especially the ones that contain egg, so we always suggest the use of ice packs when taking these out on warmer days and are always consumed within 48 hours though, regardless of being ambient or refrigerated.
