Age Guide & Portion SizesUpdated a day ago
Our products are designed to support a wide range of ages and feeding stages, from babies to young children. The age ranges we suggest are guidelines only - you know your little one best.
All meals can be offered from 9+ months if your child is ready. If a meal feels too textured, you can simply blend it for a smoother, purée-style consistency.

Age Guidance
In the UK, foods specifically marketed for infants (under 12 months) and young children (1-3 years) must meet certain legal nutritional standards.
These rules cover things like fat content and other nutritional limits. Because of this, some of our little bites cannot legally be marketed as suitable for under 3s, even if they are safe and nutritious.
This doesn’t mean younger children cannot eat them. Many everyday foods you give your child won’t have age guidance but are part of a balanced diet.
All of our products are reviewed by our children’s dietitian, Lucy Upton, to ensure ingredients and nutritional content are safe and balanced. You, as a parent, are best placed to decide what is suitable for your child based on their age, diet, and appetite.
We choose to include age guidance on our packaging to help parents select the most appropriate portion size and style for their child. As a result, some of our little bites are labelled 3+ years, even though they are a healthier alternative to many commercial products aimed at children of all ages.
Portion Guidance
Nutritional needs are higher under 12 months and gradually slow from around 18–24 months, which means our 200g portions can suit both toddlers and older children.
Appetites vary, so feel free to add extra sides (such as vegetables or other favourites) if your child needs a little more. For some inspiration, our Children's Dietitian, Lucy Upton shares a range of nutritious and tasty serving suggestions here.
*As with all our meals, our pouches are portioned according to weight, rather than by number of pieces, so we cannot guarantee an exact number.
