Cooking OilsUpdated 7 hours ago
Some of our meals contain a small amount of British cold-pressed rapeseed oil.
We understand that some customers have questions about seed oils. That’s why all of our ingredients are carefully reviewed with our children’s dietitian, Lucy Upton, to ensure every meal is safe, balanced, and nutritionally appropriate for little ones.
Where possible, we use cooking methods that don’t require oil. However, a small amount of rapeseed oil may occasionally be used to support the cooking process. It’s also included in some products, such as pancakes and courgette bites, where a fat is needed to bind the ingredients (especially in vegan recipes).
In the UK, food production standards are very strict. UK rapeseed oil comes from “double-low” varieties with low erucic acid levels, meaning the amount used in our meals is minimal.
We don’t use any other seed oils, and you can be confident that every ingredient is carefully selected and approved by our dietitian.
